Enhance the brainā€™s capacity to learn, online.

Adults (18+)

The Move-Up at-home programs are designed to help adults with learning or attention difficulties enhance their capacity to excel at post-secondary school and in their careers.

Brain Infographic | Strong Pathway & Weak Pathway

When people struggle with activities like reading, mathematics, or problem-solving, the pathways in their brain that process this information can be weak or overactive.

For some, this leads to mild learning and attention difficulties, and for others, more severe learning disabilities like dyslexia or dyscalculia.

We offer 19 different Arrowsmith cognitive exercises that strengthen the specific pathways in the brain we use for learning, performing tasks and more.

Most students start with the Symbol Relations cognitive exercise.

In this exercise, students work on their ability to understand the relationships among two or more concepts. This strengthens the pathways in the brain that support reasoning, information processing, executive functioning, attention control and working memory.

Iā€™ve noticed that Iā€™m able to make decisions faster. When something in my life goes wrong, I donā€™t dwell on it for as long as I used to. I have also become better at conveying my thoughts to others in a way they understand.
— 2020 Student, Age 24
I am finding it somewhat easier to organize my life in terms of scheduled time awareness and getting tasks done when I have the time to do them. I am more able to manage the many details of life without feeling quite so stressed and anxious about staying on top of them.
— 2021 Student, Age 26
I have noticed an improvement in listening capabilities in conversation. I am better able to keep up in a conversation and respond with my thoughts formulated more quickly. These improvements make me feel more confident about seeking out employment where a higher cognitive load is expected of me.

 DID YOU KNOW?

A student with learning disabilities can lose $700,000+ in lifelong earnings if you donā€™t act to improve their brainā€™s capacity.

In 2018, Statistics Canada published an article entitled, ā€œCanadians with disabilities: A demographic, employment and income profile, 2017.ā€ The article noted, ā€œAmong youth with disabilities who were neither in school nor employed, 87% had a mental health-related disability, a learning disability, or both.ā€ Finally, ā€œSince those with mental health-related and/or learning disabilities accounted for 77% of youth with disabilities, this suggests they are disproportionately affected when it comes to being neither in school nor employed.ā€
